Experts in ring rolling
pipe & section bending
Here at Patterson Ring Rolling
we have three primary goals:
Always conduct our business
in a fair and honest way.
Always aim to exceed our customers expectations in terms of quality of product
and level of customer service.
Continually search for new techniques and products to meet the needs of our clients.
For over 40 years Patterson Ring Rolling has provided products of the highest quality to the fabrication trade in Northern Ireland. The company was started in 1971 by Alan Smiley and George Megaw. Megaw & Smiley became well known as a primary supplier for rolled steel.
They also did fabrication work in house, specialising in sectional tanks. In 1989 Adrian Patterson took over the business. He identified that the key strength of the company was in rolling steel and so over the following years focused on developing other areas of rolling. Investment in larger machinery and tooling meant that by the late 90s WA Patterson was boasting the largest capacity steel rolling in Northern Ireland. In 2002 Adrian took a step back from the business. Adrian's son Ralph who had been working as a Project Manager in the Offshore Industry in Aberdeen came on-board. Ralph has been able to use his previous experience with high-profile companies to bring fresh ideas to WA Patterson and has been working on expanding the existing business and looking for new areas for the company to move in the future. In 2007 Patterson Ring Rolling moved to a new purpose built factory at Nuttscorner, Antrim. With the help of European Union funding we have created a superb facility in a central location that is laying the foundation for continuing growth into the future.

Over the last 6 years we have been tireless in developing new rolling techniques and skills to consolidate our position as the market leader in rolling and steel bending. We now service many industries providing a wide range of products from structural curved steel and speciality materials through to artistic work and spirals.
